Morten Gylling, born 21 April 1951, has long experience in techno-economic analysis of agricultural and agro-industrial production systems. For many years, he has been involved in projects regarding bioenergy, non-food crops including industrial and energy crops, bio refineries, introduction of new technologies and adapted farming practices, coexistence regulation and cost-benefit analysis and technology assessment of GM-crops. Most recently, economic assessment of the GHG emission mitigation potential of different adapted farming practices has been a focus area in relation to proposed EU climate and energy policies.
He was coordinator for the Danish Energy Crop programme (1987 – 2000) and recently coordinator of the +10 mio. tonnes plan. Leader of the IFRO Bioeconomy group.
