Sarune Baceviciute

With background in media technology, cognitive science and communication studies, Sarune is an industrial PhD fellow at Labster Aps and the VR learning lab at the University of Copenhagen, Department of Psychology. In her project, she collaborates with some of the world’s leading universities, such as MIT, Sandford and Berkley, and biotech industry partners like Novozymes, on a quest to learn how to best design immersive technology tools for learning and training. In her studies, Sarune uses a variety of tools and methods that combine subjective user accounts, quantitative behavioral data, psychometrics of learning and advanced psycho-physiological approaches, such as EEG, eye-tracking, GSR and heart-rate. Results obtained are used for establishing user experience guidelines for the development of state-of-the-art educational simulations for learning. As a whole, Sarune’s work aims to revolutionize educational processes in the digital domain, emphasizing the need for more sustainable and beneficial approaches to educational tool development.
